The Sony PS4 20th Anniversary edition was released in 2015 by Sony to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the Playstation brand (the original Playstation was launched in 1995). There were 12300 copies of this limited edition system produced. This is the same number of systems produced by Sony in the initial run of the first Playstation console.

The distinguishing features of this console are that it was produced in the original Playstation color palette of greys. The system also features an embossed faceplate with the 2OX(Triangle)(Square) logo which is also features on the controller touch-pad. Additionally the systems features the Playstation logo in the original Red/Blue/Yellow/Green color scheme.
