<text>The second game in the Ratchet And Clank series. The game introduced an "experience" system where the characters adsorbed "nanomites" and powered up weapons and health.

Ratchet And Clank as a series had several essential elements that were common to each game. Despite the fact these elements appear in each game, the game remained fresh by finding new ways to implement them.

1. At the core it’s a buddy story of Ratchett, a “Lombax” with a natural ability with technology, and his diminutive robot companion Clank. Their chemistry is often a major part of the plots.

2. The games do have some serious elements, but are essentially comedies or have heavy comedic elements.

3. The games always include a huge variety of weapons and gadgets with various effects, ways to use them, and unlockable features. The use of these weapons and tools is a major part of the gameplay.

4. There’s an element of customization that varies from game to game.

5. Games usually have unlockable special currency or ways to get powerful weapons and features.

6. Games have various cheat modes and odd elements that can be unlocked.</text>
